My working background is varied, starting in physiotherapy following the completion of my degree at Uclan I opened a Private Clinic in Leyland, with a focus on Sports Massage and Rehab, this tied in nicely to the experience within both rugby league and union. After two and half years within private practice, I had a complete career change that resulted in becoming a Recruitment Consultant in Social Housing, this was focused on all the temp market in London. I now work at Kensington Additive as a specialist headhunter within the Additive Manufacturing industry.
What do you do when you're not working?
When I am not working, I like to relax at home and go to the pub. There is a number of country pubs within a close radius of where I live that I go to with friends and family. I also have another job as a physiotherapist at a local rugby union club that I attend all the training sessions and matches for on a Saturday. I also enjoy cooking tea with my girlfriend after work and then settling down into a good box set.
People/Books that have inspired me?
I guess there are several people around me in my life that have inspired me in different ways, but I would always look towards my close family for this. In a professional manner, I have always seen Steven Gerrard as an inspiration due to the level of professionalism he applied to his career despite the ups and downs of the team members around him, and always proved his importance in pivotal and situation changing moments such as the Champions League final.
