I started off my career on a completely different pathway, training as a qualified nurse, specialising in Accident and Emergency/Trauma care, and then surgery. After nursing for a few years, I decided to have a complete change and support my husband Phil within the business when he started up Kensington’s.
Since 2006, I have worked within the accounting side of the company undertaking AAT qualifications to further my knowledge and skills, having responsibility for the accounts, payroll, and anything related to the company financially.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When I’m not at work, I’m busy at home looking after the family, it’s a second job! I love to take my dog, Flossie, on long walks and fitness is important to me, so I try to exercise as regularly as I can. At home, you won’t catch me far from a good book.
What’s your favourite thing about your job and working at Kensington’s?
As anyone working with numbers knows, it’s a great feeling when the figures balance!
