I graduated at the University of Central Lancashire in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Game Development. During my time here I got a deep understanding of various programming languages, worked under pressure to meet fixed deadlines, and picked up some skills on a Team Leadership course in Cyprus. Whilst studying I started my career in sales, promoting premium home entertainment products for LG Electronics in different stores around the UK. I consistently achieved my target for each quarter and picked up great communication skills whilst working with a fantastic team. My role also included training colleagues up on new hardware and software features whenever we released a new product, or a new starter joined the team. I really enjoyed the role of working with different people daily, and what better way to do so than to continue into a career in recruitment.
What do you do when not working?
Outside of work I really enjoy spending time with family and going on long walks in the countryside. I also have a passion for working with music, I recently taught myself to play the Ukulele and my next challenge is to learn the Piano. I like to write and make my own music, but I also encourage others to do the same hosting studio sessions whenever possible.
Are there any people or books that have inspired you?
Will Smith loves to make content, he mentioned that the film industry kills his passion as there is such a wait between filming and actually releasing the movie. However, he took it upon himself to create a YouTube channel where he plans, records and uploads content himself whenever he wants to allow him to have full control and to reach his goals of releasing the content quicker.
