Job description

​Job Title: Sales Director
Location: East Coast
Industry: Additive Manufacturing
Salary: $120k - $150k basic + commission

A generously funded additive manufacturing company with a high-profile client base is recruiting a Sales Director with a focus on aerospace for the East Coast.

For this position you will lead the sales efforts in the specified territories, selling 3D printing for metals technology into the aviation market. In summary, you will be responsible for developing the sales pipeline and generating new business.

This company is looking for someone with a can-do attitude and motivated to succeed and grow a dynamic start-up. There are excellent benefits to be had as well as an enjoyable company atmosphere.

Role requirements:

•A proven sales professional that finds and closes new customer business to beat quota
•Experience in capital equipment selling (e.g. 5 Axis CNCs, metal AM systems, strategic Design/Manufacturing systems) selling with sales achievement - consistently meeting and exceeding targets
•Success selling into the aerospace market (aviation, space, defence)
•Possesses deep target market industry insight (e.g. product innovation and manufacturing supply chain)
•Ability to grasp the technical value proposition and ability to work with the customer and discover how this value proposition can help the customer to create business value and solve critical business problems.
•Experience leading effective sales campaigns that utilize cross-functional team members efficiently to close, retain, and upsell new business.
•Excellent relationship building skills based on keen ability to listen and creative discovery of critical problems you solved.

Qualifications:

•Minimum of 10 years’ sales achievement experience selling industrial automation products
•Sales leadership position in a start-up experience
•References from satisfied customers
•BS degree in engineering is preferred
•Experience selling capital equipment such as Automation, Manufacturing equipment, Machinery or other complex systems for business customers
