Title: Service Engineer
Reports to: Service Manager
Salary: $75k basic + benefits
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Travel: 75% or more

A worldwide leader of machine tool manufacturing is hiring a Service Engineer to be based on the West Coast. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be providing assistance and training Customer Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.

In summary, this role will involve developing, preparing, generating, and analyzing ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to service. You’ll show a willingness to help others and be a team member, and manage difficult situations in a positive way. Promptness is key when responding to customer needs and you will strive to build effective and exemplary communication with customers to maintain relationships.

Requirements:

•Bachelors or Associates Degree in a technical related field of study preferred.
•3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of machine tools.
•Experience working with Additive Manufacturing Equipment, preferably DED or L-PBF
•Good verbal and written communication skills with exceptional customer service orientation.
•Must be able to interact and effectively communicate in person and over the phone with people at all levels.
•Proven ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence (PLC) ladder diagrams.
•Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Work Environment:

Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.

Physical Demands:

Frequent: Travel, operating a vehicle, sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching. Pushing, pulling, and lifting objects. Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.

Periodic: Operating power equipment, sitting at a desk, utilizing computers and phones.

Occasional: Lifting or moving up to 50lbs.
